New Beginnings

Well Shelb (and Isaack) last weekend for us in this house . So many memories of birthday parties , Christmas parties , leavers dinners sleepovers & movie nights .

I’m sure you will love the new house . I reckon you two will tuck up in what we have been referring to as “Shelbis room” and make yourselves at home .

Big decision this moving thing . I see you in every corner or this home . Thankful I don’t need the house to hold onto the memories and we still have the shack that I know you both loved so much .

All your stuff is packed . All your special things safely stored ready for their new room . Love you 100 beautiful.

Ps if you decide your still going to hang out in your room every now and then promise you won’t spook the new residence xx

Donate Life Week

Sat down for five minutes today and flicked the TV on . There was a segment on donate life and a young man who was going blind talked of the incredible gift of sight he was given on his 21st bday .

Being the beginning of Donate Life week I think of you more (if that’s even possible ). You always gave in life and you gave when you had no more life to give us .

If you aren’t registered and haven’t investigated – please do it this week xx

Just when I need it

Your friends seem to have a way of knowing when I need a “hey” and I will randomly get messages from them which I just adore xx

I used to post once a day . Sometimes talking to you and other times talking about you . I still talk to you everyday. Blow you a kiss as I walk past your wall and I smile when the vanilla scent sticks appear to smell a bit stronger as I feel that’s when you are around xx

You would be proud of me . I’ve lost 16 kilos ! Last year was about surviving the loss of you . This year I have tried to shift some of the grief into self improvement and even with Covid I have stuck to the goal and feel a lot better physically at least xx

18 mths since we said see yah later xx still expect you to walk through the door and we still have your work boots on the mat ( scattered like you always left them) xx

I’m tucked up at the shack this morning thinking about all the fun times we had here . So pleased we had many weekends enjoying this place with your friends . Xx

Hoping to be able to get back on track with Go Casual for Shelbi soon . Covid kind of handbraked us ; your Childcare workmates still wear the polos once a week but I’m hoping to get other childcare centres on board so that their students can also apply for grants ; Covid just wasn’t the right time to go to market xx

I promise I will try and post more frequently. Love you 100 xx

Covid life

Well I’ve been a bit slack in regards to my posts of late . The Covid 19 life sees me working from home ( which I am loving!)

I received a message from the lovely Elle – creator of “Mum you’ve got this “ Podcast and supporter of Go Casual for Shelbi letting me know she had transferred another $55 to the account . Remember $5 from each bangle sale goes to the Go Casual for Shelbi account and will assist the lucky recipient with their schooling in regards to Early EducationStudies . Please have a look and consider these for birthday presents, start your Christmas Shopping or just treat someone who needs reminding they are doing ok xx There are four styles and there is one that just says “ you’ve got this “ so you don’t have to be a mumma to support us !

I would also like to remind people they can still buy the Go Casual tops and jumpers . ID clothing are also supporting us so whichever way you go you will be helping !!

Best of it

Well right now I should be sipping a cocktail on a cruise on the South Pacific- but Covid 19 had other ideas.

I’m a little disappointedly to say the least but not devastated as worse things can and definitely have happened to us .

Thankfully this weekend we were allowed to come to our oasis again . Sit by the fire , walk the beach , share a laugh and a dance with a few close friends .

Nothing we do feels the same and never will but I remain determined to live our best lives for them xx

Some of you already know we have lost another valued family member. Shelbs beautiful Auntie Lee left this world last Friday .

She was definitely Shelbs favourite aunt . She was a second mum / home economics teacher – anyone who worked or knew Lee will know what I mean by that lol/ counsellor to many .

Always prepared to listen and give you an honest opinion whether you wanted to hear it or not . To me she was a true friend .

I get some comfort knowing Shelbs now has Auntie Lee with her to help her navigate whatever the spirit world throws in their direction xx

Mum you’ve got this

Well my bangle ;compliments of the beautiful Elle Morrison, arrived today . What a lovely early Mother’s Day present .

“Mum you’ve got this “has a very special meaning for me . I know Shelb always thought I had it together even when I didn’t .

I can hear her in my head of a morning when I would really love to stay in bed and just try and believe none of this is real . I can hear her telling me get up ! “Mum you’ve got this “ you can do it !

So now I can wear it and look at it when I need reminding that I have “got this “ . There isn’t any other choice but to get on with it . Shelb and Isaack wouldn’t want it any other way .

Thank you Elle for becoming such a strong supporter of Go Casual for Shelbi . The $5 from each sale will be well spent furthering the education of our Child Educators . We are so appreciative of your support

If you haven’t brought one yet please consider it .

Birthdays in Iso

Many of Shelb and Isaacks friends and family are celebrating milestone birthdays in Iso .

I often think of what that pair would of done to make your days special whilst Iso was happening and wish that I had been a little more organised / prepared and had a few extra trinkets under the bed in my stash so I had gifts ready for you .

I will catch up with all of you when this Iso is over and I would imagine there will be the odd late bday party or two happening.

Stay strong stay happy “don’t be shit” and most of all stay safe xx

Isolation

Well Shelb and Isaack I’m sure you are watching this mess and worrying about all of us .

Isaack- I’m sure you are worried about your mum going to work everyday and worrying about the kids.

Shelb Sam and I believe that you would be helping her home school – she told me she is drawing on her inter Shelb when she needs more patience

I’m sure you are both with us keeping us from harm as much as you can xx
