Last night we were able to present the first of what I hope will be many Bursaries awards to assist the most deserving Kiarna Nibbs with her certificate 3 studies in Childcare -she wrote a well thought out descriptive application .

I would like to acknowledge the other applicants . I won’t name them as I haven’t asked for their permission but I would like them to know that theirs were also very well thought out and they clearly have a passion for working as Early Educators .

Go Casual for Shelbi will hopefully assist many young educators over the coming years . A few of you have asked how you can assist . I am hoping to have the ABN and our not for profit registration soon .

Another big weekend of family events without you here . As I sat on the floor putting together Sarah’s Amart Flat pack chairs ( 6 chairs with 14 Alan screws each!) I thought of you . You would of been there with me laughing at me when I tried to get up after leaning over them for two hours and giggling when I cursed the predicted 20 minutes assembly time the instructions quoted.

You would be proud of your Sisters purchase . Probably asking when her next work trip away was so you could go house sit with Isaack . lol xx

You would also be about half way to your own house deposit xx

We attend another family event and had a wonderful day . That isn’t my story to tell but your physical absence was definitely felt . Yes people got your messages but again that’s their story not mine xx

Love a miss you always . I know I post a lot less but it’s because I am walking again which means a lot less time on the couch ! . Last year ; like most of the family I just existed . This year I’m up at 5:30 walking by 6 and I walk each night as well . Music and Walking have always been my relaxation and it’s so good to be falling in love with it again xx

Well that’s a wrap – fantastic weekend with two well mannered grand babies who are a credit to Ashton Warren and Samantha Gill . Lots of morning swims and a dusk dip. Hard to say who loved it the most the kids , the fur babies or Laurie Gill and I .
Weekends like this remind me of many weekends with Shelbi Cate Berechree Isaack Cooper and her friends at the shack . Shelb loved to show the shack to all her friends she wanted to share with them how special the place is . I’m hoping the next generation in Rose and Tay are only a few years off asking me if they can bring friends down .
My heart is smiling and aching at the same time . Looking forward to the next adventure xx

Love you 100 . Something you said when you were little and something we continued to say for your whole life xx

Hope that you two are together and enjoying your day . We celebrated yesterday with a lovely lunch at Bangor. We stopped by and said “hey” at your spot .

Today we exchanged cards . We both left it until we got down here to buy them but had 8/9 choices but both chose the below . ( hey Isaack xx)

It’s been a little easier this year . The constant reminder that neither of you are physically here will never dim but I smile more at your memory than I cry because you aren’t here in an attempt to not be shit xx

Establishing a not for profit account and going to formalise the Scholarship in a Early Education in Shelbis and Isaacks name .

What a process it is . You need an ABN to be able to open it and a permission slip of sorts so it is not for profit . I’ve decided to go and see my accountant and make sure it is set up correctly.

Once this is done we will be open for donations so watch this space xx

We have a bit of a tradition in our family of taking you to places that you would of gone but I hadn’t got around to taking you to the place you loved the most .

I fixed that yesterday . Just a little of you Isaack and Daisy near where we spent Boxing Day 2018 .

Day 3 of annual leave and we have already packed so much in . No day is easy without you present . Knowing when we head back to town you aren’t there will never get easy but we are learning to live our lives . Every tear is for you but so is every m smile and laugh because you would want us to enjoy ourselves . I think about you all the time but thankfully most of the time it makes me smile because it’s a memory of us doing something or you telling me about an adventure you had with your friends .

We have shack maintenance to do again – the boring stuff that keeps the place you loved looking spot on – last year Laurie and I did it with such a heavy heart . This year it’s a little easier xx

First day of leave – our two weeks of just being us . I’m sure Shelb and Isaack if things had been different would be looking forward to two weeks of playing house . I sometimes feel like they still do . I say goodnight and goodbye to them when I leave the house each day (just in case they are hanging around) I don’t care if I’m the crazy old lady talking to herself . I would rather get to the other side and have them say – you never stop talking to us and we heard you than – you forgot about us .

That will never happen .

Another Birthday celebration without you here xx you popped up in a memory for Laurie though . His 50th . His Saints cake xx we have just been through Australia Day celebrating it in the style you loved . I swam even though it was blowing in sideways and your cousin Blake and I rode the kyacks for a burn .

I remain determined to celebrate and enjoy these events and not have too many waves (unless they have salt water and sand in the mix) because that is what you would want xx
